Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania
My 33 year old son passed away. He was virtually penniless when he died, having been unemployed for 11 months. He was on life support for 9 days in the hospital. Hospital and doctor bills expected to be close to 1 million dollars. He lost all health and life insurance. I paid for his funeral. All he has is a 2004 car that is on the verge of being repossessed by the bank. He had no will and I, nor anyone else, has been appointed administrator of his estate.

You didn't directly ask but I think your question is who is going to pay your son's debts. Under Pennsylvania law the "person" responsible is your son's estate.
The next question is if the estate is insolvent (can't pay the bills) who does? The answer is not you. Actually the creditor is out of luck. Now some bill collectors will try to get money out of you. They have no legal grounds.
If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
