My brother died in April of 2010. He was 30yrs old. He had no will. His assests were a car that and an insurance compnay owed him $2000 for a claim from an auto accident. The $2000 was the amount of damage done to his car that they are willing to pay. Trying to figure out how to get the money from the insurance company and sell the car.

You need to have someone (maybe you) go to the Register of Wills to be declared the administrator of the estate. The administrator can collect the funds and sell the car. You need to be sure to distribute the funds according to the laws of intestate succession in Pennsylvania and follow the notice requirements. You should consult with an attorney for assistance.
