After a decedent's estate is probated in Pennsylvania, is an "order" issued stating that the decedent's property has now passed to the heirs?

Yes and no. A will is submitted for probate and the executor is appointed. When the executor is done, he or she files an account. The account lists the assets of the deceased and what claims were paid and proposed distribution. The court then enters an order confirming the account. If there are objections to the account, they would have to be ruled upon or determined by the trial court. Thre is no other order which specifically says that the heirs now get certain property.

I have assumed in this discussion that we are dealing with the estate of a person who lived in Pennsylvania at the time of his or her death. Different states may have different laws and you should consult a probate lawyer in the state where the estate is probated if it is other than Pennsylvania.
