Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Deeds in probate

My father past away and left me some property. The will states that I give my property at _______ Pa. free & clear apsolutly. But the will was made in 1983 When He owned one deed with his house on it. After 1983, he bought small pieces of property that touched his property to keep houses from being built close to him. In total, there is about 10 acers. The bank is the executor of the will and says this is a gray area and I might not get it all. Do I get to go to Probate & if so, should I get my own lawyer? He kept all the land seperet because he did not want to spend the money to put them together. They said I might not get the rest because it was bought after the will was done.

Re: Deeds in probate

The interpretation by the bank is probably correct unless there is other evidence that your father intended you to get the other parcels. You probably need to speak with an attorney to discuss this matter fully. I offer free consultations.
