what does it mean when a judge confirms a first and final account of someone

The Executor or Administrator filed an accounting, gave notice to claimants, if any, and the Court reviewed the accounting. It would be confirmed if the Court found no problems or unresolved claims. The Court then issues an Order approving the distribution of the remaining assets.
