Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Is an Executor or Executrix allowed to enter property

Is an executor or Executrix have permission to enter into the property of the deceased before the will is read?

Do they also have permission to remove items or cash from the said deceased property?

Is the descendants of the deceased have permission to look at the will even though they are not stated on the will?

Is there a way that the descendants could contest the Executor or Executrix?

or the will?

Re: Is an Executor or Executrix allowed to enter property

The executor/executrix has permission to enter the property. It is their responsibility to do so. It is also their responsibility to secure and account for all assets including cash. As for the "reading of the will", it only exists in movies, not in real life. After a person has died the will is recorded at the local county court house and is public record for all to read.

Will contests are permissible in Pennsylvania but there must be good grounds to do so. Being unhappy with the desires of the testator are not grounds to contest a will.
