Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Executor sold property

My grandfather passed away leaving a will that all assets go to the 5 grandchildren. His son was named the executor. I am a grandchild.

The property where the house was located has become commercial property. I asked my uncle to obtain a commercial real estate appraisal. He sold the real estate very quickly as a residence to a business associate. One month later, the property is back on the market as commercial real estate with no capital improvements for $200k over the price it sold for one month ago.

My uncle is on the township board so he understands about zoning. What recourse do we have regarding this transaction? The house was obviously sold for less than fair market value.

Re: Executor sold property

The executor owes a fiduciary duty to the beneficiaries of the estate.

If he violated that duty you should seek an attorney to pursue your claim.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.

Get to an attorney quickly. Your uncle (I assume he was the Executor) may have breached his fiduciary responsibility to the beneficiaries. You must act on this immediately
