Executor from another state

May the executor of a will for an estate in Pennsylvania be from another state or must he/she reside in Pennsylvania?

Out-of-state residents are allowed to serve as Executors of Pennsylvania Estates, but the Register of Wills requires the Executor to post a bond. A bond is basically an insurance policy for the estate�s beneficiaries in case the Executor mishandles or runs off with the estate�s money.
