A lawyer can determine relatively quickly. I can read the will and tell you, if the will is going to be probated in GA, PA or NC. However, you do not provide me with many crucial details. Has the person who made the will (the testator) died yet? If so, when? What state/county did they live in at the time of their death? Did the person have a spouse who survived them? Are there enough assets in the estate to satisfy any claims? Was this a specific bequest of money or specific property? Is anyone challenging the will? If so, how likely is it to succeed or is there a possibility of a family settlement agreement?

The answer to these questions is going to affect whether the family member gets all, none or some of their inheritance.

If you would like me to review the will, please contact me.
