Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My father passed, no will in probate.

What exactly does this mean? I called the county recorder and she said there was no will in probate. He passed on 3/16/08. Where do I go from here? My step-mother handled all details following his death to where I didn't even get to go to the burial.

If your father had no will then he died intestate meaning that if there were assets in his name alone not joint with his wife that you would be entitiled to a certain amount of his estate. You should immediately contact an attorney for further information.
