My father past away and left behind a large sum of money in the bank and a large sum of money that he never pick up at a lawyer office and he mother wants to take it all. My father did put her name down as the person to take money out for him when he couldn't my father didn't have a will and he lived with her am I entitled to anything?

If there is no will you are an heir at law. As to the bank account it depends how the account was titled. It may or may not be part of his estate.
Someone has to step up and get the estate probated.

You must have someone file with the register of wills office where your father passed to have an administrator appointed to start an estate. As a child you are one of the beneficiaries of estate of assets in your father's name alone. You should consult with an attorney immediately to see how the facts apply to this matter.
