Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania
Fiance's rights in Penna.
As it stands right now, Fiance is currently leaving everything to step-daughters except for the house we live in, which goes to me. I take care of all properties in fiance's name as well as take care of fiance. We have lived together about 3 years. Until fiance changes will, what am I entitled to, if fiance passes away. Do I have any rights to fiance's properties and possessions of which I currently do most of the caretaking, etc. and have some financial investment. What happens to my property located within other homes?

Re: Fiance's rights in Penna.
You have no legal rights in the estate of your fiance, unless your name is also on the properties that he owns. If he has a Will, he may leave assets to you.
If/Once you are married, you get some rights as a surviving spouse, upon his death.
Unmarried couples really should have co-ownership agreements that state exactly what their rights and responsibilities are, including how owe would buy out the interest of the other if they should split.
