Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

just found out house not probated

My uncle died - no wife, no children, just my dad as family. This was about 5 years ago that uncle died. I just discovered that my father never did anything with the ''estate''. Uncle had no will, only one house (worth maybe 12,000.00) and perhaps a 250.00 bank account.

Where do I start, as now I know we need to open an estate! My father is not interested in anything so it's up to me to do this.

You need to open an estate in the county where your uncle resided at the time of his death. You need to go to the register of wills. if you are near Philadelphia area you can contact my office if you need further information.
