General POA

Can there be more than one General POA?

My wife's brother has POA for their mother.My wife would like to be added as a general POA.My mother-in- law is in agreement with this change.

Yes there can be more than one agent named. The issue is whether the two can agree on action to take. You do not want constant disagreements regarding how to act in the interest of the principal ( the mother). As long as your mother is competant she can change her power of attorney at any time changing the named agent by adding a name or subtracting a name.
