Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

I am an heir to an estate. About e3weeks ago, the state (PA)approves sent noticed that the taxes were accepted as filed, nothing owed. How long after that, does the executrix have to distribute (max)??? Should be able to pretty much right away, right?,

Technically, the executor must get confirmation of the account from the court. Many executors make distribution (depends on what assets there are of course) and get signed receipts from the beneficiaries waiving notice of the accounting.

If this is a simple estate, I am not sure what the hold up is. If this is through a law firm, they do have other clients and they will get to this in due course. There will be no reason to rush this from their perspective. Also, they may have to communicate with the executor.

What is your relationship like with the executor? Why not ask him/her what the estimated timeframe is for distribution given that the tax authorities have now approved the taxes?

There is no set timeframe. If the estate has not been distributed and wrapped up within 2 years of death, the executor will have to file an explanation with the court.
