is there any legal way to have your name removed from a tombstone when listed as a child if you're not

I am not sure that I understand. If you are alive, why are you listed on a tombstone? Or is this someone else's stone and you are listed as the deceased person's child?

It would depend on what the tombbtone says. Could this be a family burial plot with one huge marker for the deceased parent that lists all of the children with the years of their death added if and when that happens?

I suppose that you can be removed, but they might have to do a new headstone. You will have to talk to a headstone company and see if names can be removed without changing the whole headstone. If a whole new headstone has to be done, you may need to talk to the family of the deceased. If the family of the deceased will consent, they will want you to pay for it. In that case, it may be cost prohibitive and you may just want to leave it alone.

Without more information, I cannot give you a better answer. Feel free to contact me if you want to discuss this issue in more specific detail.
