how long do i have to move out of my house that has been sold

I would need additional information. if the house has been sold usually the seller is be out of the property at the time of settlement.

It depends. Was this a foreclosure? If so, you should contact a foreclosure attorney to discuss your options. Once the new owner assumes possession, if you do not leave voluntarily, the new owner will go to court to get you removed and my guess (I have not researched it) would be approximately 20 days after you are served with a writ of possession.

If this is the voluntary sale of a home, anything is negotiable. Usually possession is surrendered at closing, but if the seller wishes to remain in the home for whatever reason, he can agree to pay rent to the new owner or make some other deal.
