How does a memorandum of law help a case? Would it help in the state of PA where there is a copy of a will? The original will was destroyed.

A memorandum of law has nothing to do with probating a copy of a will. A memorandum of law is done usually to support a motion or petition and its filed with the court.

If the original of the will has been destroyed you need to speak with a probate attorney in the county/state where the decedent lived prior to death and find out if probating a copy of a will is permissible and, if so, the steps that you need to take.
