Missing spouse

My mother passed recently & my fater is her beneficiary. The problem is my father has been missing for a year. He has dementia. He went to the eye doctor last yr & we haven't seen or heard anything from him in a yr. What can I do, being my mother's only child?

Re: Missing spouse

this is a very complicated matter. it could involve inheritance tax issues if your father is decalred dead, there are also title issues to the assets until his staus is resolved. You should go to an attorney immediately to discuss these and other issues. If you would like to consult with my office please contact me.
