Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Mom died, no will

My mom died 9 yrs ago in PA. No will. 6 children. We allowed my brother to live in her home - did not transfer deed. He abandoned home. Did not pay bills. No one else has a key. Some siblings want the home to belong to this brother. Sheriff's sale is around the corner. Now what? I am in Ohio. Can I begin the process from here to get the house sold and pay any taxes? What if not all 6 agree? Is there a way for me to be free and clear of what happens next? Do I need a lawyer? Does she/he represent only me or my siblings as well? It is a small house, not a huge $$$ and it has fallen into disrepair. Thank you.

To try and protect the assets, you need to hire a PA attorney, and get an intestate estate open in the county where your mother died. You're going to have to serve all siblings, and there probably will be a hearing to select the executor.
