Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

My mother left 1/2 of one percent of her estate to the "Diabetic Society of America" of NY, NY in her will. I am the executrix. I can find no such named entity. I believe she meant the American Diabetes Asso. but cannot prove that. The ADA is not headquartered in New York. How should I resolve this?

This is a good question for the lawyer handling the estate. Though how many other beneficiaries of the the will are there? You might ask them if they would agree to give the money to the ADA. If they agree you'll want that agreement in writing and see if the Orphans Court will let you do that. Otherwise you might have to file a petition to the Orphans Court to see who the court will interpret the will.
