Mother of sole minor heir's rights

I am the mother a twelve year old son who's father passed away. Do I have any rights to get info on my exhusbands life insurance,mortgage insurance if any, The contents of his estate?? His girlfriend is still living in the house and stealing stuff that is rightfully my sons. The Mother of my ex appointed herself administrator.

Try contacting the office of the Register of Wills in your county, you may be able to challenge the appointment in your capacity of the parent of the minor heir.

Insurance policies are paid to the named beneficiary, mortgage insurance [if there was any] is paid to the lender to pay off the mortgage.

The rest of the deceased father's estate would go first to pay his and estate debts, and only after that, distributed to his heirs.
