Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania
Our mothers estate has been willed to her six children. All taxes, liens, and expenses have been deducted along with executers fees my brother has claimed. For some reason my brother has been given the checks for the rest of the family members to distribute. Is there a certain amount of time he has to pass them on?

I assume this estate is in Pennsylvania. If not, then it will be governed by the law in which the estate is probated. Has the account been confirmed by the court? Distribution is at the risk of the personal representative if the account has not yet been confirmed and he may be waiting for the final court order.
