Notifying Benificeries

What lenght of time does an Executor have to notify the beneficeries that are named in the will?

How long does the Executor have to file the will with the Register of Wills or Orphans Court? (Philadelphia)

There is no specific time, however, an executor should take the original will to the Register of Wills within a reasonable time after death (about 30 days). If the Will is accepted, there are specific forms on which beneficiaries must be notified and certified to the Register of Wills that they have been notified. If inheritance taxes are paid within 90 days of death, there is a discount. If not paid within 9 months, interests will be assessed. There is much much more involved with the administration of Estates.Estates can be very complicated and if the executor named in the Will does not perform his/her job correctly, they could be sued by the heirs or creditors of the decedent.
