Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Number of POA

My sisters and I want our parents to have all 3 of us as POA. My father states this is not possible. Is it and if so, what if an emergency situation arises that requires an immediate answer and only one sister is avalible. Can that sister make the decision without any ramifications from the others.

Re: Number of POA

Your situation depends upon what specifically you want the POA to accomplish, however, you can have more then one individual included in the POA. As it relates to your emergency situation, a specific paragraph on point can be inserted relating to this matter.

My office also offers flat rate pricing and free consultations, for additional information please visit my firm's website at www.AlleghenyAttorneys.com or by calling my office at 412.731.0865.

Yes it is possible to have power of attorneys be co-equals and required to agree upon decisions. An emergency clause can also be inserted to cover situations like you describe. I offer free consultations.
