Probating a will merely means filing it with the Register of Wills in the County where the deceased resided at the time of death. This starts the estate administration process. How long that will take depends on the size and complexity of the estate and the ease or difficulty of resolving any family issues.
You should consult an estates lawyer in the county where the estate should be opened.
