Proof they lied about inheritance money?
It will be almost 2 years now my father died leaving a irrevocable will giving all his money to each of his children. He married after he retired Bad funeral, no communication and got copies of mutual funds just 2 weeks before he died that 10,000's of dollars written out to his wife when he was dying of brain cancer and didn't even know us. The lawyer said all was checked out, we couldn't prove he didn't want her to have the money. In the documents she never gave the gold and silver coins he collected for 35 years...again she said she never saw any. Now, she put into the lawyer that she paid for the funeral ($8,900)even though my father had paid for it 4 years prior to his death. Even the funeral director was concerned how she could have done that when he only sent her a bill for $100 in flowers. The first papers where it listed all her money out and bills paid it was there, I called and it was corrected. Now, the lawyer keeps contacting us to return that recorded paper. I used it for my taxes to prove I didn't get anything for my inheritance. Now they keep wanting it. Is this proof she did something wrong, lied....anything criminal? Out of Hundrends of thousands, I only got $500. The rest she got but we can't prove.

Sorry for your loss. I see too much of this when there are second marriages and first families. On the facts presented, it sounds like you may have to sue your step-mother, but you may be out of time, since most Will contest suits have to be initiated within a limited time after the Will has been probated. I suggest contacting a good local estate attorney to determine your rights. There may be claims of undue influence, incapacity of your father, etc.
