Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

I have a question that deals with willsI tried to have my uncle (executor) removed however, that didnt happen during the court proceedings the Estate Attorney requested shares to be returned I agree and transferred them over. Now, the Estate Attorney/executor is requesting that I inventory and have appraisals of all tools given to me by the executor, and the return of a truck value at $12,000.

Questions: Pennsylvania wills

Do have to return any of these items?

Why would I need to inventory and appraise these items this is the responsibility of the executor right?

I believe I dont have to return anything as the executor is responsible not I. All items in question were never addressed in court only the shares.

You and your uncle have screwed up. Your uncle never should have given you the truck and tools until these it5ems had been inventoried. If you just took them then you should not have done so.

These are all assets of the estate. I don't know what you mean by shares - assuming you are an heir, then you will get whatever is equal to your share. That value of your share can be made up by either m oney or items equivalent in value to your share.

While it usually would be the duty of the executor to get items appraised and inventoried, you somehow have obtained possession of these items. Now, you either have to return them to the estate so they can be valued or you need to get them appraised and valued as the estate will need that information.

Please cooperate from now on with the estate attorney and your uncle. It will be less costly for the estate if everyone plays by the rules.
