Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

I just received notification from the PA Dept of Revenue accepting the Inheritance Tax Forms I filed and stating that the accounting that I filed of all of the bills, assets, etc. were accepted. I sent them to the Register of Wills in Berks County along with a Status Report stating that the estate was completely administered.

What is the next step in order to get the Probate file closed and my duties as executrix relieved?

You will either have to get a receipt and release from each of the beneficiaries or file a formal accounting which must be confirmed by the court.

However, if you have made it through probate this far, then you should be able to speak with the Register of Wills office in Berks County and be able to conclude this matter on your own by the receipt and release method if the beneficiaries will cooperate.
