Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Hi i recently recieved an email from a law firm in malaysia where my uncle had passed away. This firm is now emailing me telling me i am recieving 5.9 million from this uncle whom i've never met. They sent me some documents which looked to be scanned onto a computer and both the lawyers credentials. Is there anyway of knowing this is real or fake. They havent asked for any information. They said they are going to set the account up and transfer the money into it than i can take it out. Is there anyway of knowing if this is truthful. My uncle passed away in 2007 and i did see his obituary but that doesnt mean im not getting scammed. Please help if you can.

there are numerous scams that are used on individuals by e-mails. They are similar to the classic nigerian internet scams. This does not mean that this is a scam as you say you had an uncle, (which I assume you knew of prior to this contact) and they have sent information which appears to tie into his death. I would suggest you obtain or review this matter with an attorney locally who can contact the proper authorities in mayaysia and or a reputable attorney in mayaysia who can verify that an estate exists there for your uncle and can verify that the lawyers who contacted you legitimately represent the estate of your uncle and can advise of the situation. If you would like to consult with my office do not hesitate to contact me. Do not send any money they request to set up any account as this would strongly suggest a scam.

My office routinely reviews matters like this for overseas and domestic clients. I would be happy to take a look at the documents you've been forwarded. Until you get confirmation that this is NOT a scam, please do not forward the Malaysian group ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION !!!
