Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

I had a relative who passed away, and I was contacted by a law office stating that I might be eligible for a settle of the estate. They asked me to sign an agreement and they will take 30% of what I am eligible, for their processing fee. I signed it and now they have sent me paper work to fill out with family history. I also received a letter from the court appointed law office for the estate. Am I obligated to stay with the first law office, who does not have the second set of paper work or can I break that agreement?

First of all, I am sorry for your loss. I am a little unclear about the situation. I have never heard of a firm offering an agreement and them taking 30% of what a person is eligible, for their processing fee. I would be very interested in reviewing such an agreement.

I would be more than happy to review the agreement and the file for free to see whether or not it is binding, and the amount of money you are entitled to by law.

Please feel free to contact me at [email protected], or 412-327-7335 to dicuss your matter at no cost to you.
