Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Should I renounce?

In PA, I'm the executrix of my mother's will. My sister has taken possession of the estate, which includes antiques, household goods and jewelry, valued at maybe $20,000-30,000, which she will not release. I believe my mother's debt might be $40,000. I've probated, received Letters Testamentary, and now have received a copy of a claim against my mother's estate. I've already spent almost $1000.00 to probate this since I live in MI and had to do it all through an attorney. Can I renounce my executorship myself, without paying even more attorney fees?

Re: Should I renounce?

Attorneys Fees are an expense of the estate not you!

As executrix you can get an order to have the property turned over to you.
