Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania
rights to stay
My aunt moved me here to PA, from MA to stay and help her with her Privite Care Business in July 2008. She quote a pay of 300.00 a month. She has since passed and now my cousin is trying to make me leave or pay rent. Her business is in probate, she has five homes, she did not leave a will. He has stop the pay also. Does he have the right to do this. I left a personal relationship, job and family and it now he will not anyone go in any of the houses without him being present. We are confined to one house and have no use of the stove which is in the other house. He has also made one of my cousin's leave because he was on my aunt's husband side of the family. He has also taking the money out of her house safes and clean out her safety depoist boxes (which I have the rights to, with keys she gave to me) without anyone being there.

Re: rights to stay
You do not indicate whether you entered into a written agreement with your aunt regarding your employment or what amenities you were entititled to in helping with her business. If there is a writing it may provide you with some legal recourse. Who are her heirs do you stand to be a beneficiary. If your cousin is the representative of the Estate and you are a beneficiary then you may have some recourse there if he is not operating in the best interests of the estate.
