Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

The signature of a will

I am a paralegal student looking for this answer. In some states the signature is required to be at the end of the Will. If there is a 4 page will and the fourth page gets stapled on top of the 3rd page, would the residual clause become ineffective?

Re: The signature of a will

The "end" of the will is the "end" of the text. A court would "repair" the mis-stapling. The witnesses must sign after the testator or testatrix, i.e., "subscribing" witnesses. Hope this helps. Check out http://www.Jurisdictionary.com

Re: The signature of a will

It depends on several factors is the will numbered accordingly...ie..A, B, C or 1, 2, 3 are there page numbers? If so this would be considered a fixable mistake, however, if the court could not determine that this page should have been before the signature page then you might be out of luck.
