Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania
Time limits on inheritance distribitions
Is there a time limit on inheritance distribution? What happens if the executors never distribute it? What happens with educational trusts that are set up? My uncle died, and in his will he said he wanted a trust to be set up for the children of the family. Each child was suppoed to get $10,000 a semester for junior and senior years of college for as long as the trust would last. What happens if the executors don't distribute this? They owe me $20,000 already. What are the laws regarding this? Can I take them to court? How does it all work?

Re: Time limits on inheritance distribitions
As a beneficiary of a trust you are entitled to an accounting. Also, the people who oversee the trust owe you a fiduciary duty in regards to the trust. As there are various statute of limitations I suggest you act quickly. With the amount of money at stake, you really should obtain counsel.
