No Will

My mother wants me to sign a document renouncing my right administer said estate of my father. Do I forfeit everything or do I have the right to be made aware of everything that is going on with the finances. He had no will. My parents were divorced.

Regardless of who administers the estate, if your father died without a will, his estate will be distributed according to the set rules of intestacy. The rules can be slightly different in each state, but every state has a statute. You forfeit no rights to any part of the estate no matter who is the executor or administrator.
