Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

will probate

My husband of 20 plus yrs has died & in the will he states that all of his belongings shall go to surviving spouse, myself. I have come to find out that upon purchasing of our residesnce our attorney placed the deed in only his name. Now I need to probate the will and my finances are vry limited. Can I probate the will myself & is it possible that your firm could help me with the filling out of the paper wrk I picked up at our local cout house?

Re: will probate

My condolences for your loss.

You may begin the probate process yourself. In many counties, the Office of the Register of Wills will assist you with completing the paperwork and usually provides information about the next steps you should take. It will not give you legal advice.

If you have a family lawyer, you might ask for her/his assistance and find out the cost of those legal services.

You should work with an estates lawyer in your geographical area.
