Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Pennsylvania

Will Transferrability?

I had a will created in NJ. I am moving to PA. Will it still be valid? Can I still use a NJ licensed attourney or do any changes need to made by a PA. licensed attourney?

Thanks

Jim

Re: Will Transferrability?

Your will MAY be valid in PA., however, I strongly reccommend that you have an attorney authorized to practice in PA. review the document to determine if it complies with the requirements of the state. There is no law, rule etc. that requires use of a PA attorney or prohibits the use of NJ attorney.I personally and professionally suggest you see a PA. attorney--this procedure is the best route for you even though it may cost you some money (it will be money well spent!!).
