Do you have to leave something to all of your children or can you leave money to one child and not another?

You can absolutely leave some or all to one child and nothing to another. However, there is some specific language you should include to be sure that the left-out sibling cannot successfully challenge the disposition in court. There are ways to do this. However, the answer to your question is even more complicated if you are trying to exclude your spouse. You can only exclude the spouse to a certain degree, but the spouse is always able to take a percentage. You should be sure that your will is professionally drafted.
