Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

auto accident while on the clock at work

I was on the clock at work and was told to run to an electric repair shop and pick up a drill. I was told to take a way that is shorter then the normal way. I reached the destination ok, but on the way home i was involved in an auto accident. I came around a corner and my car skidded out and i hit a nice size boulder (rock). I was wondering if my boss is responsible to pay for the damages to my car since i was on the clock at the current time. My roomate said in new york he would be, but i wasn't sure if the law applied in PA. if he is responsible, what is the process I need to go through.

Re: auto accident while on the clock at work

in order to recover from your employer you must be working at the time of the accident. did anything cause your accident?
