Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Cancelled surgery.

I injured my shoulder falling at work, I did all things necessary; Dr.'s ,Physical therapy etc. Had a few months of relief then a few more months went by and the pain increased they sent me to their specialist, he did MRI and schedued surgery, I called my case worker the same day approxs 4 weeks ago to tell her the info. I just got a call today 2 days before the surgery that they cancelled and they are sending me to an ''IM'' (??) 1 1/2 h ours away and I now have to wait for his report to reschedule. I have been in pain 24/7 , no sleep and have not taken any days off . why are they all of a sudden changing what was recommended by their own Dr.? How long must I wait to get relief?

Re: Cancelled surgery.

You should retain an attorney in your area who practices in the field of workers' compensation. Without knowing the specific medical details no one here can really say whether or not the insurance company would be liable for penalties under these circumstances and your question doesn't disclose whether you may have other options such as obtaining the necessary treatment through health insurance, etc.
