Changing rate of pay for light duty

If you are on light duty doing a different job in a different department can a company change your rate of pay because you aren't in your regular department?

Yes, barring a union contract. However, any resultant wage loss will yield a regime of temporary partial disability.

This will be much easier to opbtain if you are already in the WC system, i.e., your Carrier or Administrator has already issued a Notice of Compensation Payable or similar Controlling Document.

Let me know if you need help with the calculations.

Good Luck,
