Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania
Employer required to make up difference in workmans comp pay?
One of my co-workers fell 10' at work, and was seriously ingured. Workmans comp paid bills, and their precentage of lost wages, but only a fraction of what he was earning. Now he is loosing his home because of not having money to pay mortgage for several months. Did his employer have an obligation to make up the difference in lost wages after he returned to ''light duty'' work?

Re: Employer required to make up difference in workmans comp pay?
The employer is only obligated to pay worker's comp, which in many cases does not pay for the full loss. However, depending on the specific facts, there may be a claim against another company, under which full compensation may be paid. My firm handles those types of cases.
