Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Injured Police Officer denied vacation days

I am a Pa. Municipal police officer, and have been on worker's comp. since August of 2001. As per our contract, I am entitled to 24 vacation days per calender year. Since being hurt, I have been unable to use 15 of those days, as I m still on WC. My employer says I will forfeit those days, and they refuse to allow me to carry them over into the next year, or pay me for them. Do I have entitlement for those days?

Re: Injured Police Officer denied vacation days

This really depends on the union contract (I'm assuming a union contract situation). You should contact the union rep., and see if the union will file a grievance for you.
