Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

I injured my shoulder at work 2 months ago and immediately reported it to my employer for workman's comp. I've continued working light duty and receiving physical therapy. Now I'm facing possible surgery. Can my employer require me to use accrued sick days for surgery and recovery?

You should not be using sick days. Your time off should be compensated by workers compensation. My office is in Norristown and I handle workers compensation cases throughout the Philadelphia region. Please call my office to schedule a free consultation.

No. Remember, the employer can't "force" you to use sick and vacation days. All the employer can do is refuse to pay for the days you miss b/c of your surgery. If the employer does not pay you for the time you miss, you should hire an experienced work comp atty to represent you. Feel free to call and discuss.
