Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Length of compensation claim

I am a technician in Pennsylvania and got injured when falling on my left elbow 2/8/07. I have been sent to several specialists and it seems that surgery is required. It is now 8/8/07, 6 months later, and they have yet to set up the surgery and the problem has not gone away. There is no light duty permitted at my job so I have been of the entire time. I was told that if I am not able to return to my full job responsibilities within one year of being injured that I would be fired. So is that actually legal? and if so, could the company doctors delaying the surgery for so long change that in any way? Thank You. I have not been able to get an answer anywhere else

this is something that has to be dealt with by an attorey. If you are not capable of returning to work , unless you have some typ of contract or union protection. you can be let go. The bigger question is why you are not getting the medical care required. Let me know if you ae represented. Otherwise, I will refer you to a Pittsburgh. attorney
