Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

Medication

I settled a suit involving work related back injury a few years ago which left me permanently disabled but did not settle the medical end as was instructed by my attorney. I have been on the same medications for nearly 8 years without any changes but recently workers comp decided to stop paying for my pain medication. Is this legal? What can I do about it as I need this medication to function physically every day.

Re: Medication

No, it's not legal to unilaterally stop paying medical bills which have been continually incurred since the time of commutation or C&R (where med bill protection was bargained to expressly continue).

Solution is to file a Med Review Petition and have counsel seek quantum meruit fees.

Good Luck.
