Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

PA Workers Comp.

I was off of work on comp through 1/14/08 went to work doing light duty then pulled off the light duty job by the company's panel doctor on 1/18/08. It is now 2/23/08. The insurance company has yet to make a decision on reinstating my benefits. Is there a time frame that they have to make this decision by? They sent me to an IME doctor on 2/19/08 who agreed with their panel doctors also. Thanks for any help in advance

It appears as if, depending on the seriousness of the injury that you should seek an opinion from a truly independent physician not one directly or indirectly under the control of the employer/insurance company.

My guess is that your benefits will probably be cutoff if you return to work and if you don't have an independent opinion on your medical condition, it will be difficult to fight the insurance company, since you will have no one on your side if you do not act promptly.
