Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania
Question about workers comp
I injured my back at work and filled out the companies injury report and was sent to a chiropractor. I did visit this chiropractor and he asked if I wanted time off or light duty? I chose light duty for the benifit of myself for not being off work and the company for not having a lost time accident. I returned to work for 8 hours and was told to take two days off for it to help heal. I did take the two days off to rest up. During this time I visited the chiropractor two more times. I returned to work after being requested to work another shift, still on light duty. I asked the human resorce manager if or how I was going to be paid for the two days I was off? The reply was that I had to be off 7 days for workers comp. I understand that part. My question is: Since I was released for light duty and was performing a light duty position and the company told me to take the days, who should pay my wages for that missed time or am I going to have to take that as a loss? Thank You for your time!!

Re: Question about workers comp
I think you have to take that as a loss unless your employer voluntarily pays you.
