Legal Question in Workers Comp in Pennsylvania

WC Back Injury

My back was injured at work - while I was out, WC paid my time out and medical - the doctor said I was able to go back to work & i did. I then switched to another job after I returned and hurt my back again more severe (I just had back surgery) ... they say it was reaggrivated from my previous injury from my other job, my new job says it it my other employers responsibility --- my previous employer has reopened the case and is paying my medical bills, but I have not rec'd any wages paid (they said they want the other employer to take partial responisibility) --- I did hire a lawyer and nothing has happened thus far - it has been over 6 mo since I have been out with no pay ... who is responsible and how can I start getting paid, my family is suffering from my lost pay - I have no money left in savings, i don't want to lose my house ... what can I do that can get me paid for for wages ... and am I entitled to retro pay back to my first day out?

Re: WC Back Injury

That is one of the toughest things about workers' compensation. If you are living paycheck to paycheck there is not much that you can do while the case is pending except rely on family and friends and/or credit. Your lawyer is probably doing everything that they can to get you paid because their own pay depends on it. You just have to hang in there.
